On Wednesday, the Washington Wizards finalized a deal to acquire Denver Nuggets guards Will Barton and Monte Morris for guards Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith.
For Smith, that means he’ll be joining his 13th NBA franchise in 12 years. That also means he just set a record for doing so as he has passed over a few guys who played on 12 teams. They include Joe Smith, Jim Jackson, Tony Massenberg, and Chucky Brown.
Smith was featured in primarily a backup role for Washington, playing in just 28 games last season averaging 6.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.8 rebounds per contest.
