During round 2 of the 2024 NBA playoff series, the Minnesota Timberwolves won against the Denver Nuggets in the second game. Jamal Murray, who sat out the first half, loudly disapproved of the referees.
Murray threw a warming pack from the bench area during the late first half. The hot pack skidded across the court, narrowly missing Towns’ foot as he tried to take a step forward. The game was momentarily halted as officials quickly removed the foreign object. After removing the heat pack, the game resumed.
