NBA icon and famous analyst Charles Bakley is a fan-favorite analyst because of his insightful and entertaining take on NBA players and matters. He recently supported Anthony Davis on Inside the NBA and claimed that the Lakers’ big man had a great season.
Anthony Davis did not have the most incredible year when it came to the critics and their opinions of him. Many people have expressed their thoughts on the big man’s performance this season and blamed him for his team’s poor performance. However, Barkley had a different take on the big man’s performance.
He claimed that AD had a great season and was not a problem on his team. “Anthony Davis, he’s had an All-NBA season this year… He answered all his critics this year, he’s played fantastic… he is not the reason the Lakers suck,” said Charles Barkley on Inside the NBA on TNT. Chuck highlighted that Davis has answered all his critics well with his performances this season.
He pointed out that the big man is not the reason for the poor performance of the Purple and Gold brand. As a former Lakers, Shaquille O’Neal, seated as a panelist, inquired Barkley. He asked Chuck about the problem with the Lakers. It was not AD, and Barkley immediately responded, “The rest of them.” He claimed that the rest of the team was liable for the poor performance of the Lakers, and AD could not be blamed for it.
Anthony Davis’ performance this season
Anthony Davis has been a great performer for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. He has been a consistent player and has even played matches and nursed injuries, which showed his dedication to the game and the team. AD is averaging 24.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists this season. It is a respectable score, among the best in the league.

Charles Barkley is not wrong when he claims that AD has had an All-NBA season; the big man has been great defensively and proved his worth in meaningful games like the recent one against the Pacers. He will face the Memphis Grizzlies next, as his opponent.
