Nikola Jokic was in a real hurry to head back home to Serbia after winning the NBA Championship with the Denver Nuggets earlier this year.
He was not happy to learn he would have to stick around a few more days because there was a need for a parade. And now we know why.
Jokic has been enjoying the offseason in his homeland, tending to horses and presumably doing a lot of drinking. The two-time NBA MVP was recently spotted acting a fool in the Serbian streets and had to be led away by his posse after dancing on a very busy road. Check it out right below:
It appears Jokic was the cause of the traffic freeze as there’s a lot of honking. Still, the man is royalty in Serbia and can get away with stuff like this.
The 28-year-old did not seem excited in the least bit after beating the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals back in June. He hardly celebrated and made no secret of wanting all the fanfare to be over so he could just go home.
Well, he’s home now and it appears the Denver Nuggets might have a hard time convincing him to come back the the United States.
