NBA fans are reacting to Kevin Durant landing a Michael Jordan-Like deal with Nike.
Durant is now just the third player in NBA history to get a lifetime deal from the sportswear giants, joining Jordan and LeBron James. He’s also just one of four athletes to ever agree to such a deal with Nike, with Cristiano Ronaldo the only other sportsman to receive one.
The two-time NBA champion made the announcement via his Boardroom show on Friday while steering clear of disclosing the sums involved.
“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership. We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically,” he said. “We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I’m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.”
