Kobe Bryant has an extraordinary legacy that has affected thousands, if not millions of people around the country who are still mourning his sudden and tragic death.
His legacy extends to not only the basketball court, but to the fashion runway.
Earlier this week, Nike honored the fallen legend during their New York Fashion Week show at The Shed in New York City.
During the 2020 Nike Forum experience, six children walked out onto the runway wearing classic Lakers jerseys with Bryant’s famed numbers, 8 and 24.
Kobe, alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on a hillside in Calabasas, California.
The footwear and apparel giant released a statement in his honor, writing, “Kobe was one of the greatest athletes of his generation and has had an immeasurable impact on the world of sport and the community of basketball. He was a beloved member of the Nike family. We will miss him greatly. Mamba forever.”
