It seems to get worse and worse for Space Jam 2.
Just a few days after Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis stated he had zero plans to forego two weeks of training in order to be in Space Jam 2, it looks like LeBron won’t have three former MVP’s to be in the movie alongside him as well, but for a different reason.
Sources told Tatiana Siegel of the Hollywood Reporter that due to Nike’s ties to the “Space Jam” franchise — Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, who is signed to Under Armour, and Houston Rockets’ James Harden, is under contract with Adidas through 2028, are both unlikely to appear in the movie.
Now, Kevin Durant is actually signed through Nike, but he is reportedly focused on his own Hollywood moves.
Even though ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that James was having trouble finding co-stars for the movie some weeks ago, Warner Bros. is actually responsible for finding talent, according to the report.
