Nia Long is not going anywhere in her relationship with Celtics coach Ime Udoka, according to her ex, Massai Z. Dorsey.
The father of Long’s first child and her ex, Massai Z. Dorsey, supports Udoka, telling the DailyMail that they ‘talk as a family, and it’s all about unconditional love, and that’s what she’s giving him.’
Udoka was handed a one-year suspension for the 2022-23 season after the Celtics announced that their head coach had violated team policies, reportedly by having an improper relationship with a female team staff member.
“We’re sticking by him 100 percent,” Dorsey, 51, said. “Ime made a mistake. Every man needs another chance. Like the Bible says, the flesh is weak. He’s not a bad guy. Hopefully, he’s learned from this.”
The Fatal Affair actress returned to Instagram on Tuesday and posted about mental health.
“A tip for mental health,” she wrote on Instagram. “Learn to distinguish who deserves an explanation, who deserves one answer, and who deserves absolutely nothing.”

Following Udoka’s suspension, Long issued a statement exclusively to PEOPLE.
“The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me,” Long said at the time. “I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.”
Udoka broke his silence following news of the suspension.
“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down,” Udoka wrote in a statement.
“I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision,” the statement continues. “Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”
Long and Udoka have been engaged since 2015.
