Brunson scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead his team to victory. Additionally, he surpassed Carmelo Anthony for the most 40-point games as a Knick.
Beyond Brunson’s heroics, the Knicks received strong contributions from several players. Mikal Bridges added 22 points, four assists, and three rebounds in 39 minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns posted 22 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Josh Hart contributed 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Despite the loss, Amen Thompson put together an outstanding performance. He recorded his third triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, and one block. Jalen Green scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out four assists. Cam Whitmore provided a spark off the bench with 18 points and four rebounds. Aaron Holiday made the most of his 17 minutes, adding 15 points, while Tari Eason contributed 12 points and six rebounds.
