The incident began when Maitland police found a blue Lamborghini stuck on railroad tracks near Greenwood Drive and Mechanic Street. Reports indicate that the vehicle had previously fled from Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies. However, Maitland police stated that they did not participate in the pursuit.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers walked Jordan away from the car and conducted a series of field sobriety tests. He failed these tests, which led to his arrest on DUI and drug-related charges.

Marcus Jordan Resists Arrest But Secures Release On Bail
Marcus Jordan was uncooperative during his arrest, according to police reports. Officers stated that he refused to comply when they attempted to search him and even used his leg to prevent them from closing the squad car door. An arresting officer detailed the incident in a report.
“I stood at the window and immediately detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The defendant kept saying he made a wrong turn and needed assistance getting his vehicle off the railroad tracks. I noticed the driver had slurred speech, and he was confused where he was located. I noticed the driver had red, bloodshot, and glassy eyes,” the report read.
However, Marcus posted bail and secured his release just hours later. The arrest has drawn significant attention because of his connection to one of the greatest basketball players of all time. While Michael Jordan himself had no involvement in the incident, his son’s legal troubles have once again placed his name in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
