A California woman has shed new light on the final moments of Kobe Bryant’s life when she said her Google Nest camera captured audio of the doomed aircraft’s final moments.
Ronna Leavitt’s recording, which was obtained by ABC 7 Los Angeles, has a timestamp of 9:45 a.m. — which was the same time Bryant’s Sikorsky S-76B plummeted into the hills of Calabasas.
What is believed to be Kobe’s helicopter could be heard during the 43-second clip, but it was the final three seconds that seemingly records a large thump, followed by silence.
Another person with a camera also got recording of the helicopter.
The 41-year-old NBA legend, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others perished in the accident. All of their bodies have since been recovered as NTSB looks to find anything to show them what happened in the air to lead to this tragedy.
