Patrick Beverley still wants it. The twelve-year NBA veteran still wants to return to the league. Pat recently said he is eyeing one team on his way back. Pat Bev, who made a name for his tough defense, is currently playing with Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
During an interview on the N3on YouTube channel, Beverley shared why the Suns caught his eye. He’s excited about the chance to learn how superstars like Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal prepare for games. For Beverley, it’s about soaking up knowledge from these elite players than just joining a successful team.
“The Phoenix Suns. I’ve played with a bunch of superstars, right, and I would like to see how Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and KD, how they prepare,” Beverley said when asked about which team he would like to play if he returns.

“I’ve played with James Harden, Dwight Howard, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Embiid, Maxey, Giannis, Damian Lillard, Karl Anthony Towns, LeBron, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. I have played with a ton of motherf******, and I just want to see how they prepare. I’ve played with a ton of elite, and I just want to see how they prepare, so yeah, the Phoenix Suns,” he added.
Having played alongside stars like James Harden, LeBron James, and Damian Lillard, he values the hard work and dedication that goes into their game. Beverley has had a solid NBA career, but his last season wasn’t exactly his most memorable. He averaged just 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. Still, he’s confident he’s got more to offer if given the chance again.

Patrick Beverley Believes Russell Westbrook Is The Best Point Guard
Although his return might not be so certain, Beverly has been continuously talking about the NBA. In an episode of his podcast earlier this month, the former NBA veteran shared his bold take on Russell Westbrook.
“Point guard position, we’re going off skill-based. We’re going off talent. We’re going off numbers. This is an individual award. I mean, you have to put him up there as the greatest point guard to ever play the game,” Beverly said.

Beverley, who is a strong defensive player himself, declared that Westbrook is one of the greatest point guards. He pointed out that Westbrook’s incredible achievements, like hitting 200 triple-doubles, really set him apart from other players.
“No one will catch Russ. Magic Johnson shoot back up. He still wouldn’t catch Russ. There is no one that’s ever done that,” Bev added.
Although Westbrook’s resume speaks volumes. He won the NBA MVP award in 2017, made the All-Star team nine times, and is part of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. These are some of the special tags of his career. And there’s no denying Westbrook’s talent and the mark he’s left on the game. He has made it tough for future point guards to reach his level.
