Stephen Curry has chosen to support Toronto sensation Kendrick Lamar over Drake in their infamous feud from earlier this year. Curry stated to GQ Sports’ Joseph Bien-Kahn that he remains a Drake admirer and hasn’t allowed the public perception of his rivalry with Kendrick Lamar to interfere with his devotion to the artist.
Curry’s publicist, who was there for the interview, appeared nervous about answering the question. But Bien-Kahn noted that Curry responded when prompted. Regarding backing Drake and keeping a relationship going, Curry is not listening to Kendrick Lamar’s advice.
Curry said, “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time. I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”
In response to awkward and shady charges he leveled at the Toronto native, Kendrick Lamar advises NBA players LeBron James and Stephen Curry to ‘keep the family away’ in his song ‘Meet The Grahams.’ Curry, however, was unfazed by these remarks and kept riding for the ‘6-God.’
Since March of this year, the two rap megastars have been involved in a highly publicized dispute that has resulted in back-and-forth songs and shootings. Several current and former NBA players have mentioned names throughout this conversation, including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, John Stockton, and DeMar DeRozan.

Several NBA stars, including Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, James Harden, and LeBron James, were photographed at Kendrick’s enormous Juneteenth event. As an Oakland resident, Stephen Curry chose not to travel to Los Angeles to cheer for the Compton native.
Curry has supported Drake in the feud over fellow Californian Kendrick Lamar, even though Lamar also lives in California. Curry and Drake have been pals for a long time, and Drake frequently mentions Curry in his songs.

Although Stephen Curry mentioned Drake favorably in this interview, their relationship hasn’t always been favorable. During the 2019 NBA Finals, when Curry and the Golden State Warriors were playing the Toronto Raptors, Drake’s home team, there was evident tension and hostility between them.
It was evident that Drake and Curry had no ill will towards each other after their previous conversations. Furthermore, Stephen Curry’s decision to side with Drake over Kendrick throughout this feud strengthens their bond.
