NBA star Jimmy Butler is reportedly battling his baby mama amid a standoff with the Miami Heat.
Butler, recently suspended by the Eastern Conference franchise, is understood to be in a paternity war with Kaitlin Nowak, the mother of his three children.
According to documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Nowak is demanding an additional $10,000 on top of the $55,000 a month he currently pays her for child support. Butler is said to be confused as he feels the aforementioned sum is more than enough for their kids, and Kaitlin is billing him for a nanny she does not even need.
Per the player’s attorneys, Nowak is refusing to get a job.
“Mother is not entitled to live as if she is married to a National Basketball Association (NBA) player,” they state.
Jimmy and Kaitlin hooked up in 2019 but kept their relationship private. They had their first child, Rylee, in October of that year. Brayan, two, was born in 2022.

The former couple had a third child, Kian, who was kept under wraps and only revealed in confidential court papers after Nowak filed a petition in October 2023 to establish paternity and set up child support just weeks after he was born.

Jimmy Butler No Longer Wants To Fund A Nanny
The parties reached a partial deal in December 2023, with Butler getting shared custody and agreeing to pay for a temporary nanny. He has since challenged the arrangement for the nanny, as Rylee will be attending school later this year while Brayan is set for preschool.
“Mother is unemployed and refuses to seek employment. With one child in preschool and Father exercising equal timesharing with the older children, there is no legitimate reason for Mother to insist both on a nanny and that Father pay for that nanny.
“The parties have attended mediation in an effort to resolve all outstanding issues, but Mother refuses to waive her demands that Father pay for the nanny on top of the tremendous amount of child support he is paying.”
Butler will make $48.8 million this year, although his suspension is believed to have cost him around $2 million, which he is expected to fight for in arbitration.
