The Detroit Lions canceled practice Tuesday in protest of a police officer shooting Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This shooting comes months after the viral video that showed a Minneapolis cop kneeling on the neck of George Floyd and ultimately killing him as a result.
On Sunday evening, Blake was on a Kenosha street “breaking up a fight between two women,” when officers showed up and a scuffle broke out. Cell phone footage shows him walking to his car and getting shot in the back some seven times.
In the days and hours since, trolls have taken to social media to bring up Blake’s past as if there was reason for him to be shot seven times in front of his children.
NBA Reporter Taylor Rooks also noticed this, which is why she has since went viral with her response to those people.
