Paul George and Joel Embiid graced an ESPN show that examined the championship series before Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics. 2022–23 MVP Embiid was a surprise visitor, while the Los Angeles Clippers player was initially scheduled to appear on the program.
Paul George and Embiid have no NBA Finals experience. The star player for the Philadelphia 76ers has never advanced to the conference finals. George, on the other hand, has advanced to three conference finals but lost each time.
Surprisingly, the two superstars added something unique to the NBA Finals pre-show. NBA source Sean Bernard claims that the pair’s visit was not planned until Embiid requested to participate in the show.
Bernard posted on X: “So it seems like the story is that Joel Embiid was in the building for the NBA Finals with Josh Harris and ran into Tim Bontemps. Tim told Joel that Paul George was on the pregame show and Joel said he would go on too without an invite.”
After losing to the New York Knicks in the opening round of the playoffs, Embiid made an intriguing move that sparked speculation that he could try to convince George to play for Philadelphia. Like George fell to the Dallas Mavericks in the opening round. Kawhi Leonard, the two-time NBA champion, was out for most of the series.
Next Season, Joel Embiid and Paul George Might Play Together for the Philadelphia 76ers
Paul George and other players of his choosing might be acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers this summer because of their vast salary space. This season, the 34-year-old excellent still hasn’t chosen to exercise his player option with the Clippers. George will put his name in the unrestricted free agency pool. If he doesn’t sign a new contract by June 30, the 76ers could quickly sign him for the proper price.

Embiid also alluded to George’s recruiting during the pregame show. He wants the 76ers to improve in the upcoming season. So, they can contend with the Boston Celtics, the Eastern Conference champs.
Paul George, who spent his sixth season with the Clippers, averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals. He would be a terrific addition to the 76ers, led by Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris.
