The NBA Finals are now well underway – so, of course, the “rigged” cries are back.
We’re now watching what’s probably the unlikeliest final matchup of all time, with the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets locked in what looks to be a very interesting series now that the Eastern Conference Champions have evened things up at 1-1.
The Heat went into the finals as the underdog side, with Denver the overwhelming favorite. But they have managed to take one on the road and are headed back to Miami for two games after winning 111-108 on Sunday night.
Fans, though, are displeased over what they believe to be a blatant missed call by the referees. The Heat were leading 104-93 late in the fourth quarter when Bam Adebayo blocked a layup attempt from Jamal Murray. The ball appeared to have been on the way down at the time, which equates to a goaltend, but the refs never blew.

The play is thought to have turned the tide, though the Heat had played a remarkable fourth quarter to take the lead. The Nuggets would rally back at the end, cutting a 12-point lead to three, but Murray missed what would have been a game-tying three-pointer at the death.
