The NBA is drawing criticism from fans over its referee lineup for Monday night’s Game 7 showdown between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics.
According to Keith Smith, Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, and John Goble will be on duty for the highly-anticipated matchup between the Eastern Conference teams.
While the league reckons they’ve got their best men on the job, fans aren’t thrilled with the selection of Foster and Brothers.

The series has already seen fans scream bloody murder, with Twitter going off after the Celtics managed to win Game 6 with a buzzer-beating putback. Many questioned why time was added to the clock after Al Horford appeared to foul Jimmy Butler with 2.1 seconds left. The clock reset to 3.0, giving Boston just enough time to win the game as Derrick White got the shot off with .1 seconds left.
The Heat are trying to get to the NBA Finals after entering the playoffs as the East’s eighth seed and appeared to be well on their way after going up 3-0. The Celtics, on the other hand, are looking to become the first team in league history to go on to win a series after going down 3-0.
A total of 150 teams have tried, with the Los Angeles Lakers the latest, but none have succeeded so far. The Heat will hope to make it 151, but they have a daunting task ahead as they’re going to have to win on the road if they want to keep their season alive.
