The lineup of referees for the 2024 NBA Finals has been revealed ahead of the Mavericks-Celtics series beginning on Thursday. The league has released the roster of officials for the championship series, with only a few days remaining until the start of this season’s playoffs. The list includes several well-known personalities, like Tony Brothers and veteran Scott Foster.
The list also includes other officials with whom the public is familiar, such as Bill Kennedy and Marc Davis. The NBA PR account posted the whole list of officials on social media, but no list detailing which officials will officiate which games were provided.

Additionally, the release stated that Ben Taylor and Tyler Ford will be available to serve as backup NBA Finals referees if necessary. It’s also crucial to remember that no assignments have been provided game by game.
Considering that, the officials for Game 1 will likely be announced early on Thursday before play begins at 5:30 Pacific Time (8:30 Eastern).

NBA Finals 2024 Is All Set to Begin on June 7
Now that the NBA Finals referee roster has been revealed let’s examine the entire finals schedule. As previously stated, Game 1 will begin on Thursday at 5:30 PM Pacific Time (8:30 PM Eastern) at Boston’s TD Garden. Teams will get two days off between games one and two of the finals, compared to just one day off during the early rounds of the playoffs for recovery.
On Sunday, June 9, the Mavericks and Celtics will play Game 2 in Boston’s TD Garden. The game starts at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (8:00 PM Eastern), which is a little early.
Therefore, Game 3 of the series will be played at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Wednesday, June 12, at 5:30 PM Pacific Time (8:30 PM Eastern). After a one-day break, NBA Finals Game 4 will be played on Friday, June 14, with a tip-off time of 5:30 PM Pacific (8:30 PM Eastern).
Should a Game 5 be necessary, the series will return to Boston for a Game 5 on June 17 at 5:30 PM Pacific (8:30 PM Eastern). Similarly, the series will return to Dallas for a Game 6 on June 20 at 5:30 PM Pacific/8:30 PM Eastern. Lastly, Boston will host the series decider on June 23 at 5:00 PM Pacific (8:00 PM Eastern) if the series requires seven games.
