Jeanie Buss may miss Kobe Bryant, but her words has NBA thinking she was taking a shot at a current player on the team.
This offseason is a critical one for the Los Angeles Lakers and controlling owner Jeanie Buss.
On Monday morning, the Los Angeles Lakers co-owner fired off a cryptic tweet as the team has been mentioned in trade rumors surrounding Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook. Buss mentioned in the tweet that she missed the late Kobe Bryant and wrote she knew he would understand what was going on with the team.
“I miss KB,” Buss said. “He would understand and explain everything that I’m not allowed to. Honestly he was the greatest Laker ever. He understood team over self. Meaning your rewards would come if you valued team goals over your own then everything would fall into place. All can reply.”
Her post may have been about Kobe Bryant, but it left fans wondering if she may have been speaking on LeBron in a negative way without actually saying it:

Los Angeles has missed the playoffs seven out of the last nine years as well as two of the years since LeBron came to town.
An already eventful offseason for the Lakers just got way more entertaining or stressful.
Despite the Lakers having a poor season as a team, LeBron James had an insane season, averaging 30.3 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.2 APG.
Injuries to him and Anthony Davis as well as inconsistent play with Russell Westbrook had the Lakers playing under .500 for the majority of the year.
