NBA fans are not happy with Zion Williamson right now, especially now that the New Orleans Pelicans have been eliminated from playoff contention.
The Pels’ season was dependent on their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night but they were unable to get past the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co. and will have to wait until next season to have another go.
Williamson had been dealing with a hamstring injury from early 2023 and it was hoped that he would be involved in the later regular-season games or the Play-In. However, he opted to remain out, though he claimed he was okay yet just didn’t feel like himself.
The Pelicans were among the elite in the Western Conference before Zion was sidelined and could have probably made a difference for them against the Thunder had he suited up on Wednesday.
Given the warmup he had prior to the game, fans might be of the view that the former No. 1 overall pick is able to play but doesn’t want to for some reason.

There were suggestions that the Pelicans were frustrated with Williamson’s unwillingness to return to the court prior to Wednesday’s game.
It could turn out to be an interesting summer for the player as New Orleans might have some big decisions to make.
