Be careful what you say at an NBA arena, or you might end up with one of these warning cards from the league.
An NBA fan attending a preseason game posted a picture of a warning card that states abusive language could get fans removed from the arena.
The card read as follows:
“You are being issued a warning that the comments, gestures and/or behaviors that you have directed at players, coaches, game officials and/or other spectators constitute excessive verbal abuse and are in violation of the NBA Fan Code of Conduct. This is the first and only warning that you will receive. If, after receiving this warning, you verball abuse any player, coach, game official or spectator, you will be immediately rejected from the arena without refund.”
Most fans will likely blame LeBron for this, but these cards have been around since at least 2013. That still didn’t stop fans from complaining about it.

Back in 2021, LeBron James had a couple of Pacers fans removed from their seats during an overtime game. James ran down the court, directly up to a group of young folks sitting near the scorer’s table. He called the official over and told him directly what he had heard, and the official promptly booted a young man and woman from their seats.
Since then, players have started to get disrespectful fans thrown out of games for things they have been saying.
