Was Luka Doncic getting lit before a crucial playoff game?
A now-viral photo of the Dallas Mavericks star drinking a beer had NBA fans on Twitter going crazy, because Dallas was set to play the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Some fans were surprised to see what they believed was a snapshot of the team’s All-NBA point guard throwing back beers on a leisurely outing the morning of a game.

The idea of Luka having a lunchtime beer and dropping 40 points turns out to be too good to be true.
As it turns out, the photo that has been circulated was actually old after TMZ reached out to the Mavs.
“Luka, according to a Mavs spokesperson, has been in the training room all morning gearing up for the first game of the Western Conference Finals — not getting a buzz on at a restaurant” says the TMZ report.
The Phoenix Suns had no answer for Luka Doncic and the Mavericks in Game 7, posting 35 points and 10 rebounds en route to a blowout.
The Slovenian star shows up when it matters most. Coming into Sunday, Doncic was averaging 39 points per game in postseason elimination games, which is the highest in NBA history during postseason elimination games.
