A documentary examining former NBA referee Tim Donaghy is set to come to Netflix, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News. His report also stated that Donaghy will be involved in the film.
As you may be well aware, Donaghy was an NBA official from 1994-to 2007 but was forced to resign after it was discovered he was gambling on games that he worked. For his punishment, he was sentenced to 15 months in prison as a result of an FBI investigation.
His actions are perhaps the largest gambling controversy around sports since the 1919 “Black Sox.”

The upcoming documentary won’t be the first time we get an inside look at what happened. He gave a first-person account of it all in his book ‘Personal Foul’ which was published in 2009.
There have also been a ton of podcasts, documentaries, and even a movie that talk about Donaghy’s story.
It will always be an interesting and controversial story, especially when fans think something fishy is going on with refs during games every single year.
