After ending the regular season, NBA stars are now vying to represent their country in the Paris Olympics. Ahead of the main program of the Olympics, Team Canada’s star Dillon Brooks stirred controversy by revealing his list of the top three toughest opponents to guard.
Brooks’ list of the top three toughest opponents features Serbian superstar Luka Doncic and two fellow Canadians, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Andrew Nembhard.
Surprisingly, Brooks did not include any American players in his list. This year’s Team USA boasts a star-studded roster with notable names like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and Anthony Edwards. With 12 NBA stars on the roster, Team USA is highly favored to win gold this year.
Fans were notably upset by Brooks’ choices, as the omission of American players was unexpected.
Additionally, listing two Canadian players among his toughest opponents caught many fans off guard.
