The Los Angeles Lakers started the season winning three games back to back. And just when it looked like the fate for the purple and gold was changing for good, the losing streak began. Throughout the season, the Lakers have shown glimpses of their capabilities. Unfortunately, consistency is something that the team has struggled with significantly. To tackle the issue, the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis called for recruits ahead of the February 6 deadline.
And this is where NBA insider Chris Broussard has a problem. He feels that James’s complaining about getting new players does not suit his star status. Speaking on an episode of ‘First Things First,’ Broussard lashed out at the Lakers’ star duo.
“I don’t like hearing LeBron and AD talk about we need more… LeBron is too good to be like gimme more,” said Broussard.

The Lakers are currently on a 24-18 win-loss record. While LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been doing the bulk of the scoring, more players need to chip in to make the Lakers’ playoff dreams a reality. Meanwhile, Chris Broussard is not the only one to call out James. Scottie Pippen, too, had his two cents to share.
LeBron James Faces Heat From Scottie Pippen
Scottie Pippen recently appeared on the ‘PBD podcast’ and presented his views on the NBA GOAT debate. Surprisingly, he did not think that LeBron James or Michael Jordan was the GOAT. Instead, Pippen stated that Magic Johnson deserves the GOAT status. Pippen also lashed out at LeBron James for seemingly chasing individual accolades.
“My success as a team is more successful than LeBron’s. I got six rings… I don’t know, do you want individual accolades or do you want championships? ‘Cause I didn’t chase mine,” said Pippen.

Thus, it is evident that LeBron James is facing heat for his comments. However, if he manages to get his form on point, things might change drastically for him.
