The NBA released its Last Two Minute report for Game 5 of the NBA Finals, and it shows the Lakers got screwed in a huge way that could’ve drastically changed the outcome at the end.
Los Angeles dropped Game 5 to the Miami Heat 111-108. While the report details that all of the foul calls at the end of the game were correct, it also highlights that there was a missed illegal defense call on Miami’s Andre Iguodala.
That call came with just 28 seconds left to play in the game when the Lakers were down 1.
If the call was made, the Lakers would have gotten a free throw that could have tied the game.
Lakers head coach Frank Vogel cited bad refereeing as a key reason or his team’s defeat.
“It’s a tough loss,” he said.

“There’s no doubt about it. We were very close. I felt two bad calls at the end put Butler to the line. That’s unfortunate in a game of this magnitude.”
“They were given four free throws and made it an uphill battle for us,” Vogel continued.
“Very disappointed in that aspect of the game.”
Game 6 is scheduled to be played on Sunday from the Orlando, Fla. bubble.
