After failing to win the NBA championship last season against the Boston Celtics, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving’s Dallas Mavericks will look to continue their spectacular run in the NBA. With the NBA 2024-25 schedule announced on Thursday, here’s a look at the big matches scheduled for Jason Kidd’s side in the upcoming season.
The Mavericks finished fifth in the Western Conference standings with a 50-32 record. They defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves to reach the 2024 NBA Finals for the first time in 13 years. Dallas lost 4-1 to Boston in the 2024 NBA Finals.
Notably, the Mavericks featured in their third-ever NBA championship series after the 2006 NBA Finals, where the Miami Heat defeated them 4-2, followed by their championship-winning Finals in 2011.
Dallas Mavericks 2024-25 Regular Season Schedule
The last season’s runners-up will host Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs in their 2024-25 regular season opener on October 24. On Christmas Day, the Mavericks will face the Minnesota Timberwolves, who lost the East Semi-Finals against Dallas last season, at the American Airlines Center.
In the NBA Cup, the Mavericks are placed in the West Group C alongside the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, and Memphis Grizzlies. Mavericks will also travel to the Chase Center to face the Golden State Warriors in their NBA Cup opener on November 13.
