During a recent episode of the “Pat Bev podcast,” Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley made some bold claims about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Soon after the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Patrick Beverley didn’t miss a chance and criticised Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and OKC, saying that Thunder cannot win against the Denver Nuggets.
“See y’all in June. All right, no, y’all ain’t going to make it. Too young. It’s just tough to beat Denver, man. That’s all. There’s no discredit to any team. It’s just tough to beat Denver, man.” Patrick Beverley said.
The Denver Nuggets are currently in third place in the Western Conference. The Nuggets, led by the current MVP of the NBA Finals, Nikola Jokic, have proven to be strong competitors all season long, displaying their depth, adaptability, and championship history.
The Oklahoma City Thunder, on the other hand, are on a winning streak. They are currently in second place in the Western Conference. With a young team led by emerging sensation Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder have exceeded expectations, but they lack playoff experience.

Patrick Beverley’s comments about the OKC’s chances of making the playoffs are doubtful. Though it’s nice that they’re becoming a playoff contender, many NBA fans and players believe that the Denver Nuggets will be tough competition for other teams during the playoffs of the 2024 NBA season.
As the regular season ends and the playoffs are near, the Thunder are playing hard to prove to everyone why they deserve to be at the top of the list and explain their ability to compete with the best in the league. However, the Nuggets will most likely stand in Thunder’s path, making it difficult to advance to the playoffs.
