Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is riding high now. He is 3rd in the MVP horse race and some say he might just win it. Today, he again proved why he deserves to be in the discussion.
Gilgeous-Alexander scored 37 points to lead his team, the Oklahoma City Thunder to yet another victory. He has been averaging 31.1 points per game this season with a field goal percentage of 54.6%.
After the victory against the Miami Heat, the Canadian was asked why is he so consistent. He said, “My whole life is consistent. Everything I do“.
It got an excited reaction from fellow players Jalen and Jaylin Williams. To be fair, it’s a very cold line he dropped after hearing the question. It’s a line designed to get the “oohs” and “aahs”. It shows that the player knows what it takes to be a superstar in the league.
It helps that he is truly coming into his own this season. It won’t be a surprise to anybody if he wins the MVP award.
