Through 8 episodes of “The Last Dance,” the world was reminded of just how insanely competitive Michael Jordan was during his time in the NBA. Unfortunately for his children, it happened off the court as well.
During a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Jordan’s sons, Marcus and Jeffrey, shared a story about a family friendly football game that got out of hand when their dad accidentally tackled Jeffrey into a glass table.
It resulted in him needing 30 stitches.
“When we was little, we would play football on our knees, like tackle football on our knees with my dad, right?” Marcus said at the 5:20 mark below. “And so there was this one time where we were playing in their room and they had these round, like, end tables at the end of their bed. And so Jeff was going for a touchdown – and I’ll never forget it – my dad tackled Jeff into the glass table.
“Jeff hits his head table into the glass table. I thought he was dead. I mean, you could literally see the meat and skull. Me and (my sister) Jasmine were terrified, we were crying.”
