After performing remarkably in sweeping the Denver Nuggets from the playoff semis, Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards made the headlines for his off-court antics.
Following the victory on Sunday, the Ant-Man had a brief interaction with Charles Barkley. Presenting his decades-long wish, the analyst from the TNT studio said, “I have not been to Minnesota in probably 20 years.” To this, Edwards instantly replied, “Bring your a**.” The two are popular for their candid remarks and this playful exchange was one of them.
The Nuggets dropped massive points from the opening quarter of Game 7 and relieved the Ball Arena crowd with a 15-point lead in the first half, after their embarrassing 115-90 loss in the previous game. However, the game took its turn in the second half when the Minnesota team succeeded in cutting the deficit and finishing with a 98-90 win.
Nikola Jokic showcased yet another masterclass performance in the series with his 34 points, 19 rebounds, and 7 assists for the Nuggets. The Serbian got the support of teammate Jamal Murray who added 35 points to the scoreboard, but the other team members could only manage to contribute a total of 21 points, which led to the team’s downfall, while the Timberwolves bounced back to snatch the win.
