The Milwaukee Bucks have done some unbelievable things over the last few months.
First, they surprised everyone, including Damian Lillard, by trading for Damian Lillard when everyone and their cousin thought the point guard was joining the Miami Heat. They went one better on Sunday as they brought out one of the unlikeliest candidates to sing the national anthem.
Flavor Flav had the honor of singing the “Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the Bucks’ clash with the Atlanta Hawks and, to be fair, didn’t do as bad of a job as one might expect.
Still, fans were in disbelief, though there were plenty of them who showed support for the Public Enemy rapper following his performance.

Flav later took to social media to share that singing the national anthem on such a stage was on his bucket list.
“I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me,” he wrote. “I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.”
Props to you, Flavor Flav.
