The Toronto Raptors might not want to continue their journey with Gary Trent Jr., but many have set their eyes on the young guard. One of the teams that recently popped up on the contenders list is the Milwaukee Bucks.
The report came from Shams Charania of The Athletic. According to the Insider, “Milwaukee is also among several contenders pursuing the top free agent remaining, Gary Trent Jr., league sources said.”
Recalling the former Raptors’ performance, Charania stated, “Trent, the 25-year-old who averaged 13.7 points on 39.3 percent 3-point shooting for Toronto last season, is taking a patient approach to find the best opportunity for his seventh NBA campaign.”
Gary entered the free agency market after getting no response from the Raptors. The Toronto franchise had high hopes for the two-way player, but the Raptors got ready to part ways when his numbers didn’t impress them.
On the flip side, the Bucks need a desperate change that could compensate for their last season’s poor outcome. Despite their interest in Gary, landing the deal could be a complication. The Milwaukee franchise reportedly doesn’t have ample cap space to afford the Raptor. The Bucks have to make certain changes to make the deal possible.
After moving on from Gary, the Raptors have put forward their young team in the California Classic Summer League, hoping to progress.

Toronto Raptors Monitor Progress in Summer League
The Toronto Raptors should be proud of their young lads representing them well in Las Vegas. The newly drafted picks are playing key roles in helping the franchise proceed forward.
The Raptors established dominance over the Thunder in the first game and defeated them by 94-69. They were equally good against the Nuggets, but the Denver side wasn’t easy to beat. However, by the end of Sunday’s game, the Raptors snatched an 84-81 victory.
The Utah Jazz are in line to face the Raptors in their following matchup. The way things are going for the latter, the Utah side might have difficulties coming out as the winner.
