Kevin Durant apologized Thursday for threatening and profane comments he made to actor Michael Rapaport through social media.
Rapaport released screenshots of the private messages Tuesday on his Twitter account, and they included homophobic and misogynistic language from the Brooklyn Nets star.
“I’m sorry that people seen the language that I used,” Durant said. “That’s not really what I want people to see and hear from me, but hopefully I can move past it and get back out on the floor.”
On Friday, the NBA fined the Brooklyn Nets star $50,000 for using “offensive and derogatory language on social media.”
Hours after the news, Rapaport took to social media and released a video expressing his remorse for the entire situation. He also made it clear that he is not a rat for dropping the messages.
