Michael Jordan is a very private person. Despite being one of the most famous men on the planet, which has been the case since the 1980s, there’s a whole lot that remains unknown where the former Chicago Bulls superstar is concerned.
Jordan, who is now the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, has a tattoo most fans don’t know about, with the 60-year-old said to be a “bit sensitive” over the ink. While Jordan’s former teammate Dennis Rodman is known to have several prominent tattoos, the fact that Jordan has one is not widely known.
According to Sam Smith, the writer of “The Jordan Rules,” published in 1991, the basketball icon has an omega horseshoe inked onto his skin. Smith, who was featured in “The Last Dance,” a Bulls documentary released in 2020, noted the tattoo is above MJ’s left breast.
Smith also claimed that the former shooting guard was not all that proud of his tatt.
Another book, “Rebound: The Odyssey of Michael Jordan,” written by Bob Greene in 1995, shows His Airness shirtless on the cover, with said horseshoe visible. So maybe he wasn’t sensitive about it?

According to Sportscasting’s Ashish Mathur, the tattoo dates back to Jordan’s time at the University of North Carolina, when he pledged to the Black fraternity, Omega Psi Psi.
