Argentina and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi decided to take some time off from the MLS and experience the NBA playoffs. Messi attended the Miami Heat vs. Celtics game along with his teammates and friends Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.
In a video posted by the official account on Miami Heat on X (formerly Twitter), the former FC Barcelona star was seen entering the Kaseya Center through a VIP entrance. The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner was later spotted sitting in the arena along with his sons and teammates.

Messi waved to the fans present in the arena and received a standing ovation in response from the fans who have been impressed with his work in the MLS. The Argentine came to America in 2023 after leaving the French giants Paris Saint-Germain. Ever since then, he has contributed a lot to the growth of MLS just by playing regularly in games.
Messi’s visit to an NBA playoff game was an unexpected but lucky welcome. However, it was not enough to motivate the Heat players, as they succumbed to the Boston Celtics in Game 4, giving them a huge advantage in the series.

The Miami Heat had to taste bitter defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the first-round playoffs. Celtics player Derrick White was an absolute monster on the court, shooting threes like a machine. He was a detrimental factor in the Celtics win, helping his team amass a huge lead early on in the game.

There were a few injury scares that had the Celtics fans worried, first with Kristaps Porzingis and second with Jayson Tatum. However, it did not affect the end result, as the Celtics won with a final score of 102-88. The Miami Heat tried to recover late in the game but were unable to do so, putting themselves in a tough situation. Now the Celtics only need one win to win the series and move on to the next round to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
