The Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes pulled up to the Dallas Mavericks games multiple times this season to cheer for his favorite team. Most recently, he was seen on the court-side seats with his wife Brittany Mahomes during game 2 of the Mavs vs OKC series.
Now that Luka Doncic and Co. are facing the Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals, Patrick Mahomes is pulling for his side to go all the way to clinch the title. During a recent episode of “First Things First” on FS1, the Super Bowl winner boldly declared, “It’s gonna be a hard series, but I think the Mavs have what it takes… they’ve got as good a chance as anybody of winning it all,” when asked about the series.
He highlighted the threat of Anthony Edwards and the T’Wolves’ defensive game but was confident in the abilities of Luka Doncic and former NBA champion of the Cavs, Kyrie Irving. Praising the team, he also gave a shout-out to Derrick Jones Jr., and PJ Washington, who are making clutch plays throughout the postseason.
After a frantic finale to game 6 of the series against the OKC, the Mavs sealed their WCF berth against the Timberwolves, who were on a high after eliminating the reigning NBA champions, the Nuggets. The two teams met for the series opener on Wednesday and so far Patrick Mahomes has not been off the mark.
