The game between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks ended with the Mavericks securing a 98-89 victory. However, overshadowing the thrilling action, Naji Marshall, P.J. Washington, and Jusuf Nurkic got involved in a fiery confrontation. During the third quarter of the game, Nurkic committed a foul on Daniel Gafford. However, things quickly got heated as the 30-year-old charged towards Gafford.
After swatting Naji Marshall on the head, things escalated rapidly. Instead of holding back, Marshall threw a thundering punch that missed Nurkic’s face by a whisker. While both of them and P.J. Washington got ejected, things do not seem to have ended yet. In a recent social media update, Marshall has taken a subtle dig at Nurkic. The Mavericks’ star changed his profile banner on X to that of the punch he threw.

Kyrie Irving Shares Interesting Take On Naji Marshall-Jusuf Nurkic Incident
The NBA ratings have been going down significantly. Despite LeBron James’ claims of owning Christmas Day, it was the NFL who emerged victorious with some great numbers. Now, to combat the problem of declining viewership, experts have opined a lot of methods. However, Kyrie Irving had an interesting take on the same.
"Throw that shit under the rug. Excuse my language."

Kyrie Irving said he'll pay fines for Naji Marshall, P.J. Washington after fight with Jusuf Nurkic.
"Maybe that's just the way we end 2024 where somebody actually swings in the NBA. Maybe that will help our ratings." #Suns pic.twitter.com/BDbvLyHkZW
Irving, in his own hilarious manner, mentioned that he is ready to pay the fines of Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington. This was because, according to Irving, such fights might help to get the NBA ratings higher. “Throw that shit under the rug. Excuse my language… Maybe that’s just the way we end 2024, where somebody actually swings in the NBA. Maybe that will help our ratings,” said Irving via Duane Rankin. Thus, with things getting heated up, it remains to be seen whether the rivalry continues.
