Matt Barnes keeps dropping hints that Ime Udoka did something incredibly bad with the wrong woman. Barnes backed up comments he made about Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka‘s suspension and speculated if he would coach in the NBA again.
Udoka was suspended by the Celtics for the entire 2022-2023 season after an investigation brought up that he had an affair with another staffer.
Barnes was a guest on VLAD TV and continued to discuss the matter after he previously stated the situation was “100 times uglier” than he had previously thought.
Barnes doubled down on his insinuations that there is more out there than has been reported publicly with the Udoka scandal.
“But, like I heard it’s not about what he did, it’s about who he did it [with] that is really going to kind of flip the game upside down when it comes to this instance,” Barnes said. “This is not something that’s only the NBA. This happens in the workplace all around. But like I said, it’s not so much the act.”
It has been reported that Udoka had an affair with a staffer who arranged travel logistics for the team, and was even involved in making hotel plans for Udoka’s fiancee, actress Nia Long.

“If everything comes out he’ll be lucky if he coaches in the NBA again,” Barnes said. “I think it’s pretty heavy.”
Barnes originally defended Udoka when the news broke about a possible suspension. That changed when Barnes learned about what happened and deleted his message that defended Udoka.
“After finding out the facts, I erased what I posted,” Barnes said in an Instagram video he shared with his followers. “This situation in Boston is deep. It’s messy. It’s 100 times uglier than any of us thought.”
