By now, you’ve heard the infamous story of how Matt Barnes allegedly left practice to drive 95 miles to confront Derek Fisher to “beat the s—t out of him” when he found out Fisher was romancing his estranged wife.
It didn’t quite happen the way the social media keeps trying to describe it, but it was close.
The former NBA player recently sat down with VLAD TV and talked about how he found out about his ex-teammate dating his estranged wife and how he ended up punching him.
As it turned out, Barnes first found out when the former “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan accidentally left her bluetooth on when she exited the car and began talking to Fisher while Barnes could hear everything without her knowledge. He ultimately recognized the voice and told Fisher straight up that he was going to beat his ass before she hung up the phone.
Once he received a call from one of his kids that Fisher was staying in his home, all hell broke loose, as he actually drove around 15 minutes to get to where he was, jump the fence, and punch Fisher into a sliding glass window.
