Usually when you hear there’s a brawl in the NBA, it’s a bunch of pushing and shoving that is combined with guys waiting to be held back by teammates and officials.
That wasn’t the case on Monday when the Toronto Raptors took on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With 1.0 second remaining in the third quarter, the Raptors’ Serge Ibaka and the Cavaliers’ Marquese Chriss were both going after the ball when Ibaka fell to the floor and promptly got up and shoved Chriss from behind.
Both men got up and threw punches.
Both were immediately ejected from the game. Suspensions and fines are sure to come.
