The NBA has released the complete list of the 24 All-Star players for 2025. While there are some expected inclusions like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, there have also been some shocking absences. And none were more baffling than the star players from the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Naturally, a minority owner of the team, Mark Cuban, was utterly disappointed in the NBA’s choice of the All-Stars.
Soon after the full list was released, Cuban expressed significant concerns about Doncic and Irving’s absence from this year’s All-Star list. Taking to his X account, Cuban took a significant dig at the NBA.
“Those TV ratings for All-Star are gonna be crazy… NBA gonna NBA. INSANE (that) Luka and Kai aren’t going,” said the 66-year-old.

NBA gonna NBA
JUST INSANE Luka and Kai aren't going https://t.co/cds3jkIzDB
Surely, the 66-year-old has reasons to be concerned. Both Doncic and Irving have been playing impressively this season. While Doncic averages 28.1 points per season, Irving averages 24.2 points. In addition, Doncic boasts 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists, and Irving has 4.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists. Meanwhile, this was not the only time Mark Cuban lashed out at the NBA.
Mark Cuban Lashes Out At NBA For ‘Petty’ Road Game Ban
Mark Cuban decided to sell the majority of his Dallas Mavericks stakes back in 2023. He sold his shares for a whopping $3.5 billion to the Adelson and Dumont families. Unfortunately, the NBA imposed some significant limitations on Mark Cuban, which frustrated him.
According to the NBA, Cuban will not be allowed to sit behind the Mavericks’ bench for the road games. In an interview with Mark Stein, Cuban stated, “The only time I feel any regret is when the NBA pisses me off… The NBA got really, really, really petty and said that I can’t sit behind the bench anymore.”
