As Malika Andrews’ skyrocketing career continues, she is going through some frightening things in her personal life.
NBA Today host Malika Andrews was forced to file a restraining order against a man who has apparently been terrorizing her and other ESPN on-air talent.
TMZ obtained court documents that said a man had been harassing her and ESPN employees and making their lives a living hell. The guy also got a hold of Andrews’ unlisted phone number over the summer as she caught on to his threatening behavior towards her.
The person in question is Ahmed Abubakar who has also been harassing and threatening ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith and “First Take” host Molly Qerim.
Abubakar allegedly showed up at Qerim’s home unannounced this past August and was arrested for his actions.

In her temporary restraining order request, she also noted Abubakar had recently traveled to ESPN’s Los Angeles facility looking to make contact with her, Smith, and Qerim … causing her to fear for her safety.
She asked a judge to order Abubakar to stay at least 100 yards away from her and others, including Smith and her fiance, ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin … and hours after her filing, the TRO was granted.
Malika says Abubakar initially began messaging her on X in Sept. 2022.
A hearing on the matter has been set for later this month.
Aside from her personal life, Malika was announced as the new host of the NBA Finals for ESPN in August. The 28-year-old will succeed Mike Greenberg, who hosted the marquee show for the past two years.
Andrews continues as the host of “NBA Today” as her impressive rise to power at the network moves to a new stage.
