There has been a lot of discussion in the NBA about Kyrie Irving’s performance in Game 6 for the Dallas Mavericks. Irving struggled in the first half, scoring only two points due to poor shooting. However, he turned the game around in the crucial second half, scoring 15 points accurately.
Irving scored 30 points in the critical Game 6 of Dallas’ first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, securing the Mavericks’ spot in the Western Conference semifinals. After the Mavericks’ 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, Irving was asked about his experience playing and sharing a locker room with Luka Doncic.
During an interview after game 6, Kyrie Irving discusses his chemistry with Luka after the Mavericks eliminated the Clippers in Game 6.
“It’s easy to play alongside somebody like that [Doncic]. But you also have to be sure of yourself because when somebody’s that special it’s easy to kind of fall into that secondary role. There’s no primary or secondary – we’re one team…And that’s always been the M.O. since the beginning of the season. We’re a team, and everybody has a specific role…So, when me and Luka are getting it going like that it just feels good and makes the game a lot easier,” Kyrie Irving said during the interview.
