A somber moment took place in the early stages of Sunday’s Pacers vs. Magic game when Orlando guard Devin Cannady landed terribly trying to contest a shot, and the end result would be an open fracture of his right ankle.
The former Princeton star was eventually carted off under the care of medical personnel as the team would later state his injury would require surgery.
Cannady has played eight games for the Magic this season and is currently signed on a two-way contract. The 24-year-old entered Sunday evening shooting 37.5% from 3-point range this season.
