Last week, the NBA world was damn near brought to its knees when TMZ dropped a damning report of Luke Walton being sued for sexual assault by a sports reporter.
Former L.A. sports reporter Kelli Tennant claims Sacramento Kings head coach Luke Walton sexually assaulted her at his hotel when she asked Walton to write the foreword in her book “The Transition: Every Athlete’s Guide to Life After Sports.”
He reportedly pinned her down to the bed, kissed and groped her despite her screaming to stop.
She said he let her up but forced himself against her again, groping her breasts and groin, and rubbed his erection on her leg. He would eventually allow her to leave the room.
On Friday, Kelli took to Instagram and delivered a message to her friends, family, and fans that have been behind her during this process.
“I just wanted to stop in and share my gratitude with you and say thank you for being with me on this journey. And for your love and your support. It has been, as you can imagine, a very difficult, rollercoaster of a week.”
She continued, “But I have felt so loved and so supported every step of the way, from complete strangers — men and women — as well as my incredible friends who have truly stepped up for me.”
Tennant concluded the video by saying, “So I just wanted to share my thanks with you and for anyone that has been in a similar situation, I want you to know that I hear you and I see you and I stand with you.”
