Luka Doncic took a subtle shot at the Mavericks in a farewell letter to the city of Dallas and its fans following his shocking trade to the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend.

Doncic took to social media to share a heartfelt open letter several hours after the trade in which he expressed regret over the development.
“I thought I’d spend my career here and I wanted so badly to bring you a championship,” he said in what seemed to be a swipe at the Mavericks organization.
