Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals of the playoffs. Doncic, the star player of the Mavericks, delivered impressive performances throughout the series. Due to his skills and dominance in the WCF series, he was awarded the MVP trophy. Not only did he achieve the trophy, but he also matched the playoff scoring record of the legendary Michael Jordan. According to recent reports by Courtside Buzz, Doncic joined Jordan in averaging 30+ PPG in their playoff careers. The Slovenian basketball player has averaged 31.1 PPG in 45 playoff games.

Doncic is on track to match the records set by LeBron James and Nikola Jokic
The 25-year-old Mavericks player has already achieved many accomplishments that most NBA players haven’t attained throughout their careers. Doncic and Kyrie Irving have been dominant throughout the season, consistently delivering strong performances for the team. Doncic averaged 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.2 rebounds in 70 games this season. During the 2024 playoffs, he averaged 28.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in 17 games. According to the NBA Officials, If he maintains this playoff average, he will join LeBron James and Nikola Jokic as the third player to average at least 28 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds in at least 15 playoff games.
Doncic was never behind in dominating with his skills and words. During the 3rd quarter of game 5, the Slovenian Mavs player engaged in trash-talk with a Timberwolves fan who was trying to distract him by showing a poster of Doncic crying and implying that he was always arguing with the referees.
