Magic started the game with two German players, Franz Wagner and Tristan Da Silva. Additionally, another German player, Moritz Wagner, came off the bench. During the game, Doncic engaged in some trash-talking with a few of the German players in their language.

“I mean, five players, two of them were German,I heard them talking in German, so I said some things in German, you know.” Doncic said. “I know German a little bit.”
Later, Doncic declined to share what he said to the German players, suggesting that reporters ask his teammate Maxi Kleber about the trash talk. The Slovenian basketball player also mentioned that he spent five years studying German in school.

Doncic held his knee while heading toward the locker room during a recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which made fans uneasy. However, he returned to the court and had an impressive performance in the following games. He demonstrated his scoring ability in the game against the Magic by totaling 32 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds.

Reporters further inquired about Doncic’s exchange with the German players of the Magic during the postgame interview. The Slovenian basketball player stated that he had no bad intentions toward the players.
“I think there’s a lot of potential, you know. Germany was World Cup champion, which is an amazing accomplishment. So, I think they have a bright, bright future there.” Doncic said.
